high school inMonument, Colorado . It is the only high school inLewis-Palmer School District 38 currently. It has a staff of around 140 teachers and has reached its capacity. A new school, Palmer Ridge is being built to help with the overpopulation, however the school did not receive the funding to fund the teachers so they are taking money and teachers from lewis palmer to operate palmer ridge. The school reached national attention when it refused to give its 2006 valedictorian, Erica Corder, her diploma after she mentioned Jesus Christ in her commencement speech.
