synonyms = The Edible Bullfrog ("Pyxicephalus edulis") is a species of frog in the Ranidae family.It is found in Botswana, Cameroon, Gambia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, possibly Benin, possibly Burkina Faso, possibly Central African Republic, possibly Chad, possibly Democratic Republic of the Congo, possibly Ivory Coast, possibly Ghana, possibly Guinea, possibly Mali, possibly Namibia, possibly Sudan, possibly Togo, and possibly Uganda.Its natural habitats are dry savanna, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, swamps, intermittent freshwater lakes, intermittent freshwater marshes, arable land, pastureland, ponds, canals and ditches, and man-made karsts.
