Public Sector Research Institute
- Public Sector Research Institute
The Public Sector Research Institute (PSRI) is a global web based centre set up by PricewaterhouseCoopers for insights and research into best practice in government and the public sector, including the interface between the public and private sectors. The Institute has a particular focus on how to achieve the delivery of better public services, both nationally and internationally.
Background
PwC has worked with many countries to try to understand and help address the challenges facing the public sector at local, regional, national and international levels. PwC’s focus in the public domain is broad, and goes beyond the few issues which, at any one time, dominate opinion polls or media interest. It covers a wide range of areas which often escape the headlines.
PwC’s research-based projects have involved both the development of in-house points of view and reports on relevant public service issues as well as collaborations with leading think tanks to develop new thinking on better approaches to the delivery of public services.
This was formalised in 2007 with the creation of the Public Sector Research Institute.
Areas of research

*Delivering customer-centric services
