synonyms = "Anaxyrus canorus"The Yosemite Toad ("Bufo canorus") is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family.It is endemic to the United States.Its natural habitats are temperate grassland, rivers, intermittent rivers, swamps, freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes, and tundra wetlands.It is threatened by habitat loss.In addition to habitat loss, Bufo Canorus is also threatened by a fungus known as a chitrid which is easily spread through watersheds. The fungus eats at the larvae's teeth rows thereby starving the toad larvae. Evey year, the habitat seems to be shrinking.
