Tim Vigil

Tim Vigil is a comic book artist, mostly working in the horror/adult genre. His main graphic novel "Faust" (with co-creator David Quinn) was adapted by Brian Yuzna as the movie (2001). The followup "Faust: Book of M" was nominated for the 1999 Bram Stoker Award for Best Illustrated Narrative. He is praised for his attention to detail in his black-and-white art, his anatomy, and his extremely graphic art. He received his first popular exposure for his work on the comic title Grips published by the defunct publisher Silverwolf Comics.

Overview

Tim Vigil is responsible for creating the "DynaPop" style of art and was a key member of the Rebel Studios crew.

He has done art:

* for "Grips" at "Silverwolf Comics"
* for "Omega" aka "Omen"
* for the comics anthology "Caliber Presents" at Caliber Comics
* for the title "Morella" at Verotik (the comic book label of Glenn Danzig, former lead singer of The Misfits)
* for Broken Halos Studios, such as "Broken Halo", "Gunfighters in Hell" (featuring art by his brother Joe Vigil), and the artbooks "Dark Utopia" and "Gothic Nights"
* for Champions of hell and Zombie Jesus
* for many Italian comic-books written by Enrico Teodorani (creator of Calavera (comics) with his brother, Joe Vigil) such as Pamela of the Jungle, Vampiress Hella, Wheela and Raw Fems.

With fellow Rebel Studios writer David Quinn, he co-created the Faust series:
