The Indelicates are a Sussex-based British band.

Overview

The Indelicates formed in late-2005 [http://www.mynottinghill.co.uk/nottinghilltv/fe-music_review-The-Indelicates-Julia-We-Dont-Live-In-The.htm mynottinghill.co.uk: "The Indelicates" single review] ] , six months after Julia Clark-Lowes left her former band, The Pipettes. The Indelicates initially consisted solely of Clark-Lowes and Simon Clayton, at which time they took on the monikers of Julia Indelicate and Simon Indelicate respectively. Soon Ed van Beinum, Kate Newberry and Al Clayton were recruited to add to the band's live sound. Their début single. "We Hate the Kids", was released on Sad Gnome Records in July 2006 receiving reviews in NME, Rolling Stone and New Statesman [ [http://sadgnomerecords.net/media/SGR0601_press.pdf The Indelicates press release] ] . Their follow-up single, "Julia, We Don't Live in the 60s", was released in July 2007 - their first to be widely distributed around the UK. The last single to precede the album release was "Sixteen", released in October 2007.

Their début album, "American Demo", was released to the UK on Weekender Records on April 14, 2008.

There have been three official music videos made for The Indelicates' three single releases on Weekender Records.
