Delegate Sophocleus is currently serving in his 3th full term in the
Maryland House of Delegates , representing Maryland's District 30 in Anne Arundel County. Sopohcleus was originally appointed to the seat by GovernorWilliam Donald Schaefer in 1993 to replace Tyras S. Athey who resigned, but was only elected in his own right in 1998.
