Baseball at the 2007 Pan American Games took place at "Cidade do Rock" which has received temporary facilities for Baseball competitions, with a stadium and training fields. Total capacity for these facilities is 651 spectators.
Cuba is the reigning Pan American Games Baseball Champion, with 10 consecutive gold medals in Pan American Games.
Tournament
The competition has 8 teams divided in two groups. In each group, each team plays against all others once and the two best advance to the semifinals. The best team from Group A will play the second team from Group B and vice verca. Ties within a group will be broken by the team allowing the least amount of runs to pass to the knockout round. The competition begins on July 14, with the finals on July 19 (rescheduled to July 20 due to rain).
