The Gay and Lesbian Activists Alliance of Washington, D.C. (GLAA) is an American not-for-profit organization that works to gain more rights for gays and lesbians in Washington, D.C.

GLAA is a volunteer, non-partisan, non-profit advocacy organization founded on April 20, 1971 as the Gay Activist Alliance of Washington. It is America's oldest continuously active organization devoted to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender civil rights. They have no paid staff.

GLAA has led or been leaders in legislative efforts in D.C. including passing the Human Rights Act, repealing the sodomy law, passing the Bias Crimes Related Act (hate crimes), passing and expanding domestic partnerships.

The group also functions as a political watchdog making sure that the police and other agencies work with and not against the GLBT community.
