bonuses = The Prix Daphnis is a Group 3 flat horse race in France open to three-year-old thoroughbred colts and geldings. It is run over a distance of 1,800 metres (approximately 1⅛ miles) and takes place annually, presently at Longchamp Racecourse in late June.

It was first run in 1921 alongside an equivalent race for fillies, the Prix Chloe. The two races were named after the characters Daphnis and Chloe from a work by the Greek novelist Longus, popularised in France by the translation of Paul-Louis Courier.

Until 1967 the Prix Daphnis was usually run at Tremblay, only departing during World War II for three runnings at Longchamp (1940–42). Following the closure of Tremblay the race returned to Longchamp for a short period (1968–72) before arriving at its next long-term home, Evry, in 1973. With the exception of a single running at Longchamp in 1981 the race continued at Evry until 1995. For the next decade the venue switched between Maisons-Laffitte (1996–98, 2002–03) and Chantilly (1999–2001, 2004) before the present spell at Longchamp began in 2005.

Originally the Prix Daphnis took place two weeks before the Poule d'Essai des Poulains and served as a trial race for that event. From 1961 it was contested on the eve of the Poule d'Essai des Poulains and consequently, as it was no longer a trial, its importance gradually reduced. In 1977 the race switched from early May to July and since 2005 it has taken place in late June.
