Songir

Songir is town in Dhule district of Maharashtra state in India.It lies on National Highway 3 around 20 km north of Dhule. It is surrounded by forts and hills on all sides.It is the largest town in Dhule district. With population over 20000 it has got senior college, highschool and number of primary schools.Songir serves the shopping hub for all of the nearby villages.

Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi has visited this town when he was Prime Minister.
