The Barnraisers are a Bluegrass band from Wilmington, North Carolina. Formed in 2005 by Tiff Reece and Adam Forsythe, the band played at local venues and events gaining a reputation that allowed them to be featured in regional bluegrass and folk music festivals. The band has listed as influences Bluegrass legends Ralph Stanley and Bill Monroe as well as contemporary artists such as The Hackensaw Boys and The Meat Purveyors. The Barnraisers can be considered as part of a growing number of artists referred to as Fourth Generation Bluegrass, a new wave of the genre characterized by technical mastery of traditional instrumentation with a broader influence upon content and sensibilities.

In September 2006, they performed along with the Avett brothers at the 1st Annual Brewgrass Festival in Wilmington, North Carolina and in May 2007, they appeared at the WE Fest XI in Wilmington, North Carolina.
