Raymond Wean

Raymond Wean

Raymond Wean was a Bonanno crime family associate who served under capo Joe Massino and Dominick Napolitano.

Biography

Raymond Wean was arrested with Joe Massino after conspiring to receive 225 cartons of merchandise stolen from an interstate shipment contained in a Hemingway Transport truck. Raymond and Joseph were successful in both receiving bail. In 1977 Joe Massino went on trial for the truck hijacking and took the witness stand in his defence and won an acquittal. His co-conspirator Raymond wasn't so lucky and received three years in prison. Joe Massino went on trial for truck hijacking and murder charges, which he should have gone on trial for back in 1982 on April 18th 1987. During the trial Raymond became an informant and testified against Joe Massino at the trial. Joe Pistone also testified against him and implicated him in a triple homicide that occurred in 1981. Fortunately Joe Massino was acquitted of the triple homicide as well as the conspiracies to murder Bonanno crime family mobster Joseph Pastore and Anthony Indelicato, after having already ordered and performed the task of executing his father, Alphonse Indelicato.
