Jacobo Sanz Ovejero, Jacobo (born 10 July 1983 in Valladolid, Castile and Leon), is a Spanish footballer, who currently plays for Getafe CF as a goalkeeper.

Football career

A product of Real Valladolid's youth system, Jacobo served two loan stints before returning in 2005-06, with Valladolid in the "Segunda División". He would be only third-choice during that period.

In 2007-08, he contributed with 32 games to CD Numancia's return to the top flight after a three-year absence. He had been signed to a two-year deal, with Valladolid keeping 2 re-buy options on the player. In July 2008, Jacobo returned to Valladolid, signing a new three-year contract. However, injuries to Getafe CF's keepers, Argentine Roberto Abbondanzieri (2/3 weeks) and Oscar Ustari (6/8 months) prompted a loan request by the Madrid side, which was accepted.
