HMS Eclair

Five ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS "Eclair":

* The first "Eclair" was an 22-gun sixth-rate frigate captured from the French by HMS "Leda" in 1793, sold in 1806.
* The second "Eclair" was a 3-gun gunvessel captured from the French in 1795, and hulked in 1802.
* The third "Eclair" was a 12-gun schooner captured from the French by HMS "Garland" off Guadeloupe in 1801, renamed as HMS "Pickle" in 1809 and sold in 1818.
* The fourth "Eclair", launched in 1807 was an 18-gun "Cruizer" class brig-sloop, broken up in 1831.
* The fifth "Eclair", originally called HMS Infernal, renamed "Eclair" in 1844, renamed again to HMS Rosamund in 1846, became a floating factory in 1863 and finally broken up in 1865.
