Tiaa was an
Ancient Egypt ian princess of the 18th dynasty. She was the daughter of PharaohThutmose IV [dodson, p.140] .It is likely that she is the princess shown in the tomb of Sobekhotep (TT63).
Canopic jar s that probably belong to her were found in theValley of the Queens . [Dodson & Hilton, op.cit., p.140] .She died during the reign of her brother
Amenhotep III . Her original burial place is not known. [Joann Fletcher: Egypt’s Sun King – Amenhotep III (Duncan Baird Publishers, London, 2000) ISBN 1-900131-09-9, p.144] Her mummy was reburied during the 21st dynasty in Sheikh Abd el-Qurna, along with the mummies of several other royal princesses: Amenemopet andPetepihu , who were probably her sisters;Nebetia , her niece, and princesses Tatau, Henutiunu, Meritptah, Sithori and Wiay [Dodson & Hilton, op.cit., p.135] . Her mummy label identifies her as "King's Daughter of Menkheperure." [Fletcher, op.cit., p.145] The tomb was discovered in1857 .ources
