Amsterdam ,5 November 1960 ) is a Dutchsinger .He was born and spent his first years in the
Jordaan . His father,Bolle Jan , had a café where Froger started performing. He began withTed de Braak andMini en Maxi and in 1987 he debued with the single, "Love Leave Me", but he was not very successful until his hit "Winter in America" was in Dutch Top 40, later his hit "Alles kan een mens gelukkig maken", withHet Goede Doel was the number one of that list.From 1989 on, he has released more singles, but they have not been very successful.
He started the tour "Pure & More" in
Amsterdam Arena , he is a fan of Ajax.In 2005, he was diagnosed a
prostate cancer which has had several complications.In 2005, he stated collaborating with
Gerard Joling and Gordon in the gelegenheidsformatie DeToppers . His daughter Natascha got married on21 April 2006 and she gave birth to his first grandchild on23 October 2006 . Rene will represent the Netherlands at theEurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow as part ofToppers .Discography
