Raja Hasan Sagar (Devanāgarī: राजा हसन सागर) (born in 1980) was a finalist on "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007" who achieved 1st runner up in the competition attaining 3,52,40,963 votes in the final, losing to aneek dhar, a decesion which immediately become controvertial when one of the judge "Ismail Darbar" stated tht Raja was the actual winner of the competition. Raja and Aneek had been rivals throughout the show, and finally Aneek was able to upstage Raja to win the most controvertial title of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 . Later he went on to win Ek Se Badhkar Ek (Zee TV) another singing and dancing programme aired on Zee TV, where he settled his score with Aneek who ended up fourth in that show.

Early years

RAJA HASAN, A new musical sensation comes from the desert city of Bikaner (chhotikashi) in Rajasthan. Raja who considers his father Rafik Sager and his grand father Allah Rakha Khan as his Guru in singing. His family belongs to the royal singers of the Jodhpur State thus singing comes naturally to Raja and he has brought this legacy to the international area.

Raja has three younger sisters along with his parents in his family. He has perfected the art of classical singing with the held of his father and grand father. Raja has inherited music therefore he looks very normal and keeps smiling while performing even the most complicated classical songs.Raja efforts and melodious singing makes him a new heart throb of the music world all across India. With his mellifluous voice Raja has won many hearts in Middle East too. During his stage shows in abroad Raja has made people dance on his tune.

Raja has practiced the classical singing for almost 18 years. His first song at the age of 7 where he left everybody stunned with his amazing performance and the music Pandits had announced the advent of a true genius. The little prodigy of then has turned into a well built handsome Raja at present a true champion of the music world. Amitabh, Amir and Shahrukh Khan are the favorites of this shy, coy and handsome singer. Truly Raja Hasan a great singer and a star in the making.

Speculation is rife about whether Raja Hasan is married or not, well the answer is 'yes.' He fell in love, eloped and married his true love Ayesha and has never looked back. He has lived in Mumbai for the past 8 years struggling as a singer before hitting it bigtime in Saregamapa 2007. Although Raja was tipped to be the winner, Aneek Dhar won the title in the end, shrouded in a cloud of controversy, but it fret not as Raja has already rumored bagging many lucrative projects which include working alongside Adnan Sami, Shanker-Ehsaan-Loy, Vishal-Shekhar, Farah Khan, and Bappi Lahiri.

He recently participated in an indian reality show that was telecasted on Sony. "Ustadon ka Ustado" where he won with a cash prize of Rs.10lakhs and Rs.1lakh cash voucher. He also sung "Darne Walo Ko" for Royal Film Company's newly dubbed film, "The Real Don No. 1" that was released in March 2008. It's dubbed from Telugu film, Don.

Controversy

Raja Hasan has recently participated in the zee tv show, Ek Se Badhkar Ek, where singers and dancers compete as jodis. Raja Hasan and Jasveer Kaur reached the final after much controversy resulting from judge Abhijeet, who clearly was favouring Kushal and Sanchita, He also stated Aneek as his favourate singer but despite all these controversy "Raja And Jaswir" Went on to win the competition by more than one lakh votes.

PLAYBACK SONGS BY RAJA

During Saregamapa 2007 itself Raja recorded a song under the music direction of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy for the hindi version of the movie High School Musical 2.The song titled Aaja Nachle is already released and it is a chorus song but Raja`s voice is clearly identifiable.

2) Raja Hasan had a successful world tour along with other contestents of Saregamapa 2007 and outclass all of the other singers on tour such as Aneek Dhar, Mauli Dave, and Sumedha Karmahe.

3) Raja`s song Maari Teetri for the movie De Taali under the music direction of Vishal Shekhar is already out and is used extensively for the promotion of the movie.The film makers have spent Rs.2 crores to shoot the video for the song.

4) Raja won the show Ustadon ke Ustaad under Sony Entertainment Television.The show was between various singers of different reality shows.

5) Raja have appeared on television many times.ZEE Rishton ka Utsav,Valentine day show on ZEE TV and in the serials Maayka,Ghar Ki Betiyaan,Antakshree,Rock the Dhun,Teen Bahuraniyan and the most important appereance was on ZEE Cine Awards where he showed his talent in front of the whole movie industry.

6) Besides he is a host for the Saregamapa Middle East which is being recorded in Dubai.

7) Raja Hasan`s Rajasthani song Haatha Mein Haath Tharo for the movie Odh Li Chunariya is already released.8) Raja has already recorded for:

4) Raja has also recorded a duet with Sunidhi Chuahan for the movie Do Not Disturb starring Govinda and Sushmita Sen and directed by non other then David Dhawan.
