"Tornatellinops novoseelandica", is a species of minute air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial gastropod mollusk or micromollusk, in the family Achatinellidae.

Distribution

This species is endemic to New Zealand. It is found in the North Island north of Auckland, and in the Three Kings Islands.

Habitat

This minute snail is found in clumps of "Astelia", under lichens, and on the fern "Hymenophyllum".

hell description

The shell is small, thin, smooth, shining and corneous. The spire is high, and there is a prominent plait. The shell height is up to 3.5 mm, and width 1.5 mm.
