Drew Andrews was born in San Diego, CA on February 19, 1979. He is a member of indie/electronic rock trio Via Satellite [1] and a touring member of Sub Pop Records act, The Album Leaf [2], Drew also is actively involved in his own solo musical career and in his various writings [3].

Since 2003, with both The Album Leaf and Via Satellite, Andrews has toured extensively, across the United States, Europe, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore, performing shows as a singer/guitarist/keyboardist.

In March/April 2008, Andrews embarked on a tour of mainland Europe with the group From the Shade - a touring project set up by himself and Matt Resovich and Andrew Pates (both also live members of The Album Leaf). This tour coincided with the release of an EP, entitled the "I Could Write A Book Europe Tour EP".
