Mai Hem (Perfect Dark Zero)

Mai Hem is the main antagonist of Rareware's "Perfect Dark Zero". She is daughter of the richest man in the world, Zhang Li. She is later killed in the coliseum in the last level of the game.

Biography

Mai Hem, born on August 6, 1997 to wealthy Asian man Zhang Li and Asian supermodel Li-Yan Hem. Mai Hem was raised with wealth and gold surrounding her. Her father owned a very prestigious company named dataDyne and her mother was China's famous supermodel. Mai Hem's physical appearance does exactly resemble Li-Yan but in business, she does have the mind of Zhang Li. Ruthless and competitive, Mai Hem never had friends because of her sassy attitude and her way of communicating with people. She never usually cared because she was wealthy. When she turned 19, she was CEO of dataDyne and she was famous worldwide. Her mother died of anorexia and then soon Mai Hem's heart was shattered and depressed. After a year, her appearance has dramatically changed and then soon gained an interest in weapons. Her father invented Deathmatch VR and Mai Hem spend all her life trying to better her skills to become perfect at this "sport". When she met Joanna Dark, she was defeated by her. Mai Hem was surprised and angered by her. Even without her dangerous weapon Superdragon, she still lost the match with her, as a result of the loss, an electric shock is delivered to the loser that will consequently kill the losing player. Zhang Li jumped in as the shocks were being delivered to Mai Hem but managed to save her but she was badly injured and burned. In one of the levels in "Perfect dark Zero", you can see one side of Mai Hem's face disfigured because of the match they both had and wants revenge on her. She later dies in an explosion by Joanna and later her father dies. Mai Hem never had an easy life because her parents were always bussy with work and she never had the time to have fun with her mother. She practically was a lonely individual. One thing that she recalls as her "friend" is her Deathmatch VR game.

Weapon

- Superdragon

The Superdragon is an excellent weapon. It is Mai Hem's choice of weapon in the level where Mai Hem faces with Joanna Dark in Deathmatch VR. The Superdragon can load 200 bullets and can also shoot a grenade launcher powerful enough to destroy a building. This weapon is available after the Deathmatch game and in multi-player games.
