Elric of Melniboné is a
fictional character created byMichael Moorcock that has been featured in several original comic publications and a number of comic book adaptations of original stories, as well as guest-starring in other comic series.History
Elric's first original tale in a comic was a two-part
Conan the Barbarian adventure entitled "A Sword Called Stormbringer!" and “The Green Empress of Melniboné”, written byRoy Thomas , based on a story plotted byMichael Moorcock andJames Cawthorn that appeared in Conan the Barbarian. Eternal Champion . Each story was illustrated by a different artist:Walter Simonson ,Mark Reeve , and John Ridgway.P. Craig Russell wrote and drew an "Elric: Stormbringer" comic in 1997 which was published byDark Horse Comics andTopps Comics .
