12 June 1848 –May 22 1918 ) was a GermanRomantic Era composer . He was aviolin ist, and wrotechamber music andconcerto s for the violin.Seitz studied violin first under
Karl Wilhelm Uhlrich inSondershausen , Germany; he later married Uhlrich's daughter. He became a student ofJohann Christoph Lauterbach in 1874. He becamemusic director atSondershausen ,Germany , and thereafter became concertmaster atMagdeburg . In 1884 he was the "Hofkonzertmeister " (conducter of the court orchestra) atDessau .Compositions
