Carl Braaten

Carl Braaten

Carl E. Braaten (January 3, 1929 Saint Paul, Minnesota - ) is a Lutheran theologian.

Braaten was ordained 1958. He was professor of systematic theology at Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. Together with Robert Jenson he founded the Center for Catholic and Evangelical Theology in 1991. Braaten is one of the leading theologians in American Lutheranism.
