André Gil Gomes Correia da Costa (born February 9, 1979 in Portugal), known simply as André Correia, is a Portuguese football center back who currently plays for C.D. Portosantense in the Portuguese Second Division.

Career in Hong Kong

Correia was one of five Portuguese players signed by South China in 2006, along with Portuguese manager Jorge Amaral. He was referred by the club and local media as André Costa (zh-t|t=A哥斯達).

After his debut with the club in the first match of the 2006-07 season, some fans began to concern that he was overrated. As the season went on, his lack of pace and inability to clear the ball were often criticized by fans and local media.

After a series of disappointing performance, Correia was sacked by South China in November 2006. International career

Correia was capped for Portugal under-20 team at the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship, alongside Simão Sabrosa and Marco Caneira.
