John Richards (April 131765 - April 181850) was a United States Representative from New York.
Richards was born in Wales on April 131765 and later immigrated to the United States and settled in Johnsburg, New York, where he received a limited schooling. He was a member of the New York State Assembly from January 291811 to April 81811, state surveyor from 1810 to 1812, and delegate to the state constitutional convention in 1821.
Richards was elected as a Crawford Democratic-Republican to the 18th United States Congress serving from March 41823 to March 31825. He died at Lake George, New York on April 181850.
