Gerard Whately

Gerard Whately

Gerard Whately is an Australian journalist and well known "Geelong Football Club" supporter. After attending Mazenod Catholic College in Victoria, Gerard began his career as an entertainment reporter at the "Herald Sun", before developing a career in sports journalism. He has worked for both Network Ten and the Seven Network, but currently works for 774ABC in Melbourne.

Whately has won several awards for journalism, including the Quill Award for the Most Outstanding News Report, and the Australian Football Media Association's "Most Outstanding Radio Caller".
