Usaamah Abdullah Abdulghani Khayyaat was born in Mecca in 1954 and memorized the "Qur’an" at the hands of his father. He took knowledge from many of the scholars of "hadith" and received from them an "ijaazah" (religious teaching certification) in the six books. In 1997, Dr. Usaama bin Abdullah al Khayyat was appointed as an "imam" and "khatib" of the Sacred Mosque (Haram Sharif) in Mecca. he was appointed imam in 1990 and has a really beutiful strong voice and his lectures are good and emotional
