The World Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union in which figure skaters compete for the title of World Champion.

The 1908 men and ladies competitions took place on January 25th to 26th, 1908 in Troppau, Austria-Hungary. The 1908 pairs competition took place February 16th , 1906 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It was the first World Championships in which pair skating was contested.
