Lieutenant-Colonel Ronald ("Rony") Thomas Stanyforth (born 30 May 1892 in London, died 20 February 1964 in Yorkshire) was an English cricketer who played for Oxford University, Yorkshire County Cricket Club and England. Stanyforth captained England in the four Test matches he played in. They were against South Africa, and he won two, lost one and drew once. However, the series was a draw as in the fifth Test of 1927/8, when Greville Stevens stood in for Stanyforth was lost.

Only three of Stanyforth's 61 first-class games were played for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in the County Championship, and all three came in 1928 after he had captained England. He also appeared for Oxford University (1914), Marylebone Cricket Club (1923-1933), Combined Services (1922), Army (1923-1929), HDG Leveson-Gower's XI (1926) and Free Foresters (1930-1933).
