Steve Alker (born February 14, 1964) is a Welsh darts player. He plays in the Professional Darts Corporation and uses the nickname The Snake Man for his matches.

Alker won the 1998 Welsh Open, beating Colin Monk in the final. He was also a semi-finalist in the 2000 British Open. He played in the 2001 BDO World Darts Championship and 2002 Winmau World Masters but lost in the first round of both tournaments.

Steve made a great impression in his first year with the PDC in 2005, enjoying good runs at both the 2005 Budweiser UK Open, where starting in the Preliminary Round, he went on win five matches, including a victory over Kevin Painter to earn a date with Phil Taylor, who eventually stopped his progress in the fifth round and the 2006 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship where reached the last 16, beating Alan Caves and Denis Ovens before losing to Wayne Jones.

Since then, he has not made it back to the World Championship or any PDC major tournament and has not managed to repeat his performances. He has fallen out of the top 200 on the Order of Merit as a result.
