Ilia Alexandrovich Kulik ( _ru. Илья Александрович Кулик) (born May 23, 1977 in Moscow, Russia) is an Olympic figure skating champion, having won the gold medal in Nagano, Japan at the 1998 Winter Games. Ilia began skating at the age of 5-years-old and won the Olympics at the age of 20. Ilia 'turned professional' after the 1998 Olympics and has continued to entertain and enthrall audiences in professional shows and competitions ever since. He has toured with the acclaimed skating show "Stars on Ice" for many years, both as a full-time and part-time cast member and also as a guest star. In addition he has appeared in numerous skating shows all over the world, including in Japan, Belgium, Switzerland, Russia and all over the continental United States. He also ventured briefly into acting. He landed the role of "Sergei", a Russian dancer, in the 2000 ballet-themed movie Center Stage. Ilia was also named one of People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" in 1998.

He and fellow Russian, Olympic and World Pairs Figure Skating Champion Ekaterina Gordeeva, share a daughter named Elizaveta Ilinichna Kulik (nicknamed 'Liza' (pronounced LEE-za)). Liza was born in California on June 15, 2001. Ilia and Katia (as Ekaterina is also known) married in a private ceremony in San Francisco on June 10, 2002. With their marriage, Ilia gained a stepdaughter, Daria Sergeevna Grinkova (born September 11, 1992). Daria, nicknamed Dasha, is Katia's daughter with her late husband and skating partner, Sergei Grinkov. Both girls have appeared on the ice with their parents (and each other) on several occasions. The family lived in California for several years before moving to Avon, Connecticut in 2003. [14] They returned to the Los Angeles area in the Summer of 2007 and currently reside in Newport Beach. Ilia has one sibling, a sister name Svetlana, who also lives in California. His parents live in Russia.
