Harvey Gold

Harvey Gold (born October 12 ,1952, Akron, Ohio, U.S.A.) is an American guitarist, bassist, and organist turned keyboardist for the avant-rock/New Wave band Tin Huey. When the band members went their separate ways, he also became a film and video producer. In 1986, he started his own production company, Gold Teleproductions, which he actually co-owns and operates with partner Dan Epstein in Soho,New York. Among the projects that he produced was for the comedy central television series 2 Drink Minimum, with the house band including a couple of his bandmates from Tin Huey, Chris Butler (musician) (as leader and music director and Ralph Carney). After his temporary stay in New York, he moved back to his hometown where he currently resides with his wife, Dolli. In recent years, he's been busy with his spin-off bands, Half Cleveland with Chris and Harvey In The Hall , whose members include himself on the guitar ,keyboard and vocals, the Hueys' and Unit 5's 'Bongo' Bob Ethington on drums, Chi-Pig's Deborah Smith on bass and vocals, and Bruce Hensal as producer. Others are guests/unofficial members including the Byrds' and Flying Burrito Brothers' Chris Hillman, and the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach, Dolli; another band of his, Mr. Ray Violet, includes himself on bass, digital sounds and backing vocals, Tin Huey's Michael Aylward on guitar, harmonica and lead vocals, and David Stephenson (drummer) on drums.
