The Galapagos Rice Rat ("Aegialomys galapagoensis"; previously "Oryzomys galapagoensis") is a species of rodent in the Cricetidae family. It belongs to the genus "Aegialomys" in tribe Oryzomyini. It is found on the Galápagos Islands. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry shrubland. The subspecies "bauri" is sometimes considered to represent a full species.
