Northern Ireland football club playing in theIFA Championship . The club hails fromLimavady ,County Londonderry and was formed in1884 following the amalgamation of Alexander and the Wanderers. The club currently play their home matches at The Showgrounds.Club colours are royal blue and white. Their current manager is John Cunningham, the former assistant to previous manager Paul Kee. Recently managed by Tommy Wright (ex N.Ireland International, Newcastle United and Manchester City goalkeeper) and Eddie Seydak. Nicknamed 'The Roe-siders'or "The Lims". In the 1880s the club reached two Irish cup Finals, losing both to Distillery FC, and provided eight internationals to the Irish national team. Limavady famously travelled to Liverpool in 1886, and defeated English kingpins
Everton F.C. 1-0. After a long time as a junior team, Limavady joined the seniorIrish Football League in 1997-98, and reached its firstIrish Cup semi-final in over a century in 2004-05. In 2008, the club lost its senior status when it failed to gain admission to the newIFA Premiership .Honours
