Hardcore punk movement that took place across the USA during the early 1980s, largely seen as a reaction to the UK's mid-70s Punk explosion.The author promoted Hardcore punk shows in Washington, DC and spent time as a tour manager throughout the early 80s.In 1986 he founded Seconds magazine, publishing it until 2000. His writing has appeared in Spin, Interview Magazine,
