"The Girl Who Returned" is a 1969 comedy film, the first film written and directed by Lloyd Kaufman, the president and co-founder of Troma Entertainment, made during his sophomore year at Yale University.

The story of the film is set in an alternate reality, where the world is made up of only two countries: Luxembourg and Mongolia. In the movie, however, Luxembourg is inhabited only by women and Mongolia is inhabited by men. Every four years, the two countries throw an Olympic ceremony to determine the supremacy of the world.

Unfortunately, what the film lacked in a coherent plot, it more than made up for endless gratuitous shots of scantily clad females exercising. The film received negative reviews from campus newspapers and Lloyd Kaufman himself has described the film as 'boring', even going as far as saying that, like the infinite monkey theorem, "if you put two monkeys in a room with movie cameras they will make "The Girl Who Returned" in twelve days".

The film was never released commercially, but is available on VHS at Troma's official webstore (with a timecode) for the price of $124.95.
