Texas Memorial Museum

The Texas Memorial Museum is the main exhibit hall of the "Texas Natural Science Center" at the University of Texas at Austin in Austin, Texas, USA.

The center has produced a collection of 5.7 million specimens in the disciplines of paleontology, geology, biology, herpetology, ichthyology and entomology. The museum has 75,000 visitors annually. [ [http://www.utexas.edu/tmm/press_room/about_tnsc.html About the Texas Natural Science Center ] ]

The museum was first opened on January 15 1939. The building was designed by John Fanz Staub, with Paul Cret as supervising architect. Ground was broken for the building by President Franklin D.
