Alan, Earl of Menteith

Alan, Earl of Menteith

Alan, Earl of Menteith (d. c. 1310) was, as his title suggests, Earl of Menteith.

He succeeded his father and was succeeded by his brother.

He supported King Robert I of Scotland (Bruce) in his initial attempt to seize power. He was captured at the Battle of Methven and died in an English dungeon.
