John A. Olszewski, Jr. (born 1982) is an American politician from Maryland and a member of the Democratic Party. He is currently serving in his 1st full term in the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Maryland's District 6 in Baltimore County. Olszewski is a member of the Ways and Means Committee, where he serves on the Education and Revenues Subcommitees.

Olszewski was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 10, 1982, making him one of the youngest members of the House of Delegates. He attended Goucher College and George Washington University, then spent one year teaching before being elected.

Career

Olszewski was appointed to the Baltimore County Board of Education, serving from 1999-2000. He was elected to a term on the Maryland Democratic State Central Committee, serving from 2002-2006.

He served on the Task Force to Study Raising the Compulsory Age of Education to 18 and currently is a member of the Commission to Develop the Maryland Model for Funding Higher Education.

He is currently a teacher at Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts.

He teaches a Leadership class at Goucher College
