Scott began his career at Adelaide City where he scored 11 goals in 28 games in his first professional season. After three years he moved on to South Melbourne before signing for Hamilton Academical in Scotland, where he spent 3 seasons, scoring 9 goals in 52 games before injuring his knee.
For 2007/08, fit and ready, he returned to Australia where he joined the Newcastle Jets in the Hyundai A-League. However, after just one season in which he made just 5 appearances (including 2 as a substitute) he was released on 1st April 2008.
Although upon returning to Adelaide he joined FFSA Super League outfit, North Eastern MetroStars. At the MetroStar's he kick started their 2008/09 season. Playing for MetroStar's, he helped them finish 2nd in the Super League on 34 points, 3 behind leaders City.While playing for MetroStar's in 2008/09, they made it to the 2008 Devine Homes Final 5 Series Super League Final but went down to Adelaide City, 2-0. Tunbridge was selected for this final and played. Although he received a yellow card.
