Giv'at Avni

Giv'at Avni (coord|32|46|30|N|35|26|13|E _he. גִּבְעַת אַבְנִי) is a communal settlement in the Lower Galilee Regional Council, Israel. The village is adjecent to the Sea of Galilee and Tiberias.

The village was founded in 1991 by the Lower Galilee Regional Council and even has its own elementary school called "Aley Giva".

The village is named after Shlomo Aven, a former general manager of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and aided a lot in the establishment of the village. Construction of the village was divided into three different development stages - the last one is still currently built. The village consists of about 2,100 residents and about 600 families.
