The bulk of the Shopping Centre was originally built in 1960. It was added to the already-existing
Bayers Road Shopping Centre andSears , which were both built in 1920. Additions and renovations were completed throughout the years, the largest of which in 1989. This addition added convert|75000|sqft|m2 to the Shopping Centre. Between 2000-2005, a large addition was added to the Shopping Centre across the street, known as the "Halifax Shopping Centre Annex". Today, the mall includes a combined convert|400000|sqft|m2 of retail, office and service space.References
