Brenno Ambrosini is an Italian pianist, born in
Venetia , who is active inSpain . In 1990 he began performing together withMark Lubotsky . After being prized in the leading Spanish piano competitions (1988-1992) he developed a pedagogical career and grew involved in the Spanish contemporary music scene. He has championed the piano music of Soviet contemporary composers such asArvo Pärt ,Sofia Gubaidulina ,Boris Tishchenko andAlfred Schnittke , and kept a close artistic relationship with local composers such asFrancisco Llácer Pla . Since 1994 he forms withDavid Kuijken a renowed piano duo, having developed in successive years his chamber music career with the Brodsky and Prazak string quartets. He is a professor in the Conservatory of Castellón, in whose University he graduated in philosophy, and a member of theLondon Liszt Society.
