Josie Rourke

Josie Rourke

Josie Rourke is a theatrical director who has worked on a number of plays including a recent production of King John at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon, starring Joe Milson (playing 'the bastard') and Richard McCabe ('King John'). [King John by William Shakespeare, 2006; http://www.rsc.org.uk/newsandevents/events/2201.aspx (accessed 27 February 2008)] In 2007 Josie was appointed Artistic Director of the Bush Theatre in West London [Josie Rourke appointed Bush Theatre artistic director; http://www.thestage.co.uk/news/newsstory.php/16181 (accessed 27 February 2008)] . She was also assistant director to Peter Gill in his premiere of "The York Realist" in 2002.

She attended St Patricks RC High School in Eccles, Manchester
