José María Movilla Cubero, Movilla (born February 8, 1975 in Madrid), is a Spanish football player, who currently plays central midfielder for Real Murcia. Although a skilled player, he is best known for his tireless approach to the game.

Football career

An unsuccessful gradutate from Real Madrid's system, Movilla started his professional career with modest outfits: CD Colonia Moscardó, CD Numancia and CD Ourense. In January 1998, he switched to Málaga CF, where he would be an instrumental figure in the Andalusia side's promotion from "Segunda División B" into "La Liga" in just two seasons.

Returning to the second level, Movilla joined Atlético de Madrid, where he gained another promotion in 2001-02 (38 matches played). He would arrive on loan, in January 2004, to Real Zaragoza, helping the Aragonese team escape relegation and win the 2004 Spanish Cup.

Afterwards, the move was made permanent, and Movilla played three additional seasons with Zaragoza, after which he joined newly promoted Real Murcia.
