With its editorial policy, TV Avala reminds many of the old RTS' third channel (3K), which was dissolved earlier in 2006.

One of the first show broadcast on TV Avala was "", first time in almost fifteen years one of
star trek series to be broadcast legally in Serbia. Due this Serbian Trekkies has strongly sported this television, making fan-site and forum even before official site was online. Danko Đunić (51%). In late February 2008, 5% stake in the television was bought byŽeljko Mitrović , owner of competingRTV Pink .There been some rummors that TV Avala is goig to be sold to germany'sRTL !TV rights
