Mohamed Safwat El Sherif is an Egyptian politician. He is the speaker of the Egyptian Shura Council. He is one of the founder members of the National Democratic Party of Egypt "(1977)" and is currently the Seretary General of the party. He holds a B.A. degree in Military Science as well as other degrees and studies.

He formerly served as Minister of Information.
