Taki's Top Drawer

Taki's Top Drawer was an online magazine of "politics and culture" edited by famous Greek paleoconservative journalist and socialite Taki Theodoracopulos. In March of 2008, the site was redesigned and relaunched as Taki's Magazine, called "Takimag" for short.

The site featured essays and blog entries written by numerous notable paleoconservative, paleolibertarian and libertarian authors, Founded on February 5, 2007, the intent of the site, stated by Taki, was to "shake up the stodgy world of so-called 'conservative' opinion...We want to reflect a traditional conservatism that prefers peace with honor to proxy wars, Western civilization to multicultural barbarism, Christendom to the European Union, and Russell Kirk to Leon Trotsky." [ [http://www.takimag.com/info/about/ Taki's Top Drawer ] ] The site is highly critical of both neoconservatism and modern liberalism. Remarking in an interview with the Huffington Post, Taki dismissed much of contemporary conservative jouranlism and opinion, remarking that it "amounts to very low-grade jingoism, driven largely by the desire of overweight layabouts with penis envy to feel macho by sending other, better men off to die."
