Kartik Chaudhry

Kartik Chaudhry is an Indian Theater actor, most popular for his heavy base voice and writing and improvisation skills. He is one of the most famous actors in the Delhi Theater Circuit, also well known for his encyclopedic knowledge. Having worked with most eminent of Directors in and around Delhi, this theatre-person is heavily loaded with experience. Kartik did a two-year theatre course from Shriram Centre for Performing Arts (SRC), New Delhi. He has won over 50 awards for excellence in theatre, many of which are very eminent ones. Currently, he is working with a major sports channel. But, Kartik is still with theatre, freelancing. Kartik's voice has been used in a lot of TV and radio commercials.

Besides acting he has also written and directed many plays, which have been staged in various places all-across India. Some of the plays in which he acted :-

· Andorra by Max Frisch, directed by Mushtaq Kak. The play was staged in Shriam Centre, New Delhi. He played the very important role of “Pyder” in it. -->

· Bagiya Banchharam ki by Manoj Mitra. This was the translation of the Bengali play Shahnazo Bagan. The play was also staged at Shriram Centre. He played bad-man here, acting as the landowner of the village. The performance was highly appreciated by the critics and was covered big-time by the Indian media.

· The Bourgeois Gentleman by Molière. Staged at Terrace theatre, Gurgaon, the masterpiece was directed by Mahesh Vashishtha.

· Alexender the great by Indian author Sudarshan. He played the role of Aristotle in it. The performance proved to be a watershed performance of Kartik’s career.

· Hamlet , directed by Ravi Shanker. The epic was staged at DAV auditorium, Gurgaon. Kartik was “Horatio” in that.

Kartik Chaudhry is also the master of street-plays and performed for social causes in many villages across Delhi with many NGOs, like TERI. He is a successful voice-over artist as well, lending his voice to umpteen number of documentaries and commercials.
